We convinced our favorite Juanny to take us on one last tour
of downtown Quito so we could get pictures of all the churches. Luckily, his
wife came along who didn’t like history either, so we didn’t get as many
lessons. While on our tour, a couple of
crazy events took place! Kassara’s leg was grabbed by a homeless man, a lady in
the street sent us to hell, and we danced with some drunks.
While we were in the Centro, we heard this lady screaming
and shouting and her voice was so raspy from yelling so much, as you can tell!
We thought this was quite hilarious, so naturally, we pulled out the camera and
started recording. We felt bad for filming her sermon, so when she stopped to
take a breath Kassara started clapping. Afterwards, Juan told us that she was
sending us to hell because we weren’t clean. Enjoy the footage J
We visited lots of awesome churches!
Kassara's awesome burn line!
The Basilica! This was our favorite church!
This was the weirdest cemetery. There were little cubbies in the wall for the bodies. Kassara snuck in here very quickly and we snapped the picture!
Our first fun dancing experience!
There was a band playing in the Centro and everyone was gathered around listening. There were a few crazy people in the middle dancing. We thought the lady in green was hilarious so we started to film her!
This is Juan's wife, Mary! We loved her.
Kassara's BFF.
The cutest piggies ever!!!
We went to a movie and bowling and to a nice crepe
restaurant with the cousins! We love them and miss them! They were the best
entertainment while we were in Ecuador! Of course, since they were with us, we
made them try on funny clothes with us! After the girls had our fun laughing at
each others outfits we went upstairs to find Nico in his dressing room and he
was nowhere to be found! We thought he chickened out! The fact is that some
workers in the store told him that if he was going to make fun of their clothes
that he needed to leave before they called the CEO of the company. Harsh. Who
says he didn’t love the outfit he was trying on? If you think people are trying
on your clothes to make fun of them maybe it’s time to get a new clothing line…
Hermana Thomas! We met her at church and she invited us to go to lunch with her. We had been painting the whole morning before. That is why we look so haggard.
On our very last night in Ecuador the Zambranos took us to a
very nice Mexican restaurant! It was fun to be with everyone one last time. Before
we left, Kassara wanted a picture with everyone and Maru had a the great idea
of getting the picture under the Amigos sign! Unfortunately, Washington didn’t
get the memo and covered up half of the sign. We love them all and we are sure
going to miss them!
Picture this face saying, "think so!!!"
Our GIANT burrito! 52 cm!
